First Official IIIE Alumni Home Coming


International Institute of Islamic Economics (IIIE), IIUI in collaboration with Alumni Office, IIUI organized first Official Alumni Meet up at Allama Iqbal Auditorium, Faisal Masjid Campus. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al Draiweesh, President, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) was the chief guest of the ceremony while, a large number of IIIE Alumni’s from across the country and from abroad participated in the ceremony.


IIUI President hailed the alumni office and said that the effort has brought the IIUI ambassadors (alumni) back to home to be proud of their institution. He said that IIUI is proud of alumni and they have proved that the university has given best people to Muslim world. He reiterated his resolve that IIUI would remain in touch with alumni as this can further strengthen the pursuit of objectives of the university. Dr. Draiweesh explained how the Alumni can benefit the institute in terms of ranking and how much this helps the current students as well.


Distinguished Alumni from Pakistan and Foreign countries attended the Get-together, who worked in different sectors and fields of their professional lives, including head of departments, corporate managers, consultants, bankers, teachers etc. Around 150 Alumni & Guests from different cities all over the country and foreign countries attended the event.


The In Charge of IIUI Alumni Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Anwar welcomed the distinguished Alumni and the chief guests; he gave a speech about the progress of the IIUI Alumni office and its future plans and developments. He explained that the Office of Alumni was established by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Yousif Al-Draiweesh, since 2013, to meet its objectives, in terms of the Alumni. He mentioned that Alumni office keeps networking with Alumni through website, social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Whatsaap, social networking websites and Alumni Magazine.


Director General, IIIE. Dr. Atiq Uz Zafar also referred to some of the future plans on this occasion, such as reunion for graduates by establishing a forum of Alumni’s, as well as a Grand Homecoming for all each year while, IIIE Alumni’s offered volunteer services to strengthen the forum. He also mentioned planning for job fairs, provision of scholarships for needy students, entrepreneurial week, hall of fames and much more.


The get together comprised Speeches given by the Worthy President IIUI, on how the Alumni is essential to the institute and how both can benefit from each other and also benefit the current students of IIUI, Vice-President HS&R, Professor Dr. Aqdas Naveed Malik also praised the efforts of the Alumni Office and shared his views that how much the Alumni means to the institute and he looks forward for more of these events in the future.


First Batch, IIIE Alumni Dr. Rafiq Tahir, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Education and existing member of the board of governors, Selection Board of IIUI also shared his experiences and thoughts about the Alumni program during general discussions and appreciated the efforts of the Alumni office for this most waited event for the IIIE, IIUI Alumni.


During the event token of appreciations were provided to the prestigious Alumni of IIUI, they were presented with shields and memorabilia from the President, Vice-President and the In Charge of the Alumni Office.
The rest of the Alumni and guests were given memorabilia during the event.


After the event the IIIE, Alumni of IIUI had a gathering at lunch, where all shared their experiences and their life at IIUI an enlightened atmosphere was created among the foreign and national Alumni.

Second DME FET Alumni Home Coming 2019


Second DME Alumni Home Coming 2019

Department of Mechanical Engineering (DME) in collaboration with the office of Alumni International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) organized the Second DME Alumni Get together & Dinner at the new campus of the university. The event was attended by Vice-President (HS&R) Prof. Dr. Aqdas Naveed Malik, Chairman DME Dr. Athar Masood, and Assistant Director IIUI Alumni Office Mr. Muhammad Ashraf.


The get together comprised speeches given by the Chairman DME, welcoming the Alumni and how the Alumni is essential to the institute and how proud their Alma mater is for achieving such milestones in their professional lives.


 Dr. Saeed Badshah encouraged and welcomed the alumni back and expressed his humbleness towards the organizers and appreciated their efforts for conducting such a wonderful event.


The chief guest Prof. Dr. Afzal Khan enlightened the environment and suggested to focus on career than salary. He suggested that he would go with students to get them jobs. He mentioned that now a days employment is hard to get and focusing on salary packages instead of employment keeps the individual unemployed. The chief guest mentioned that  IIUI would remain in touch with alumni and alumni should keep in touch with the university as this can further strengthen the pursuit of objectives of the university and alumni together.


Mr. Muhammad Ashraf Assistant Director Alumni Office talked to the alumni and assured them that the IIUI alumni office is striving hard to achieve a great goal for all, he mentioned the office is displaying job opportunities provided by the Alumni and urged the alumni to share any job vacancies or internships with the university to help students benefit. He also assured them that the alumni cards are coming soon.


Alumni also participated in motivating the students and share their experiences about how life is after graduation. Mr. Zain ul Abideen working in an MNC shared his experience of how the job market is and what to expect from the new market opportunity.


Mr. Ahmad Adnan talked about the hurdles and opportunities and scope of having a PHD and getting a scholarship from abroad. Captain Salaman an army personnel and Alumni shared his knowledge and area of expertise. Mr. Waqar Ahmed discussed the opportunities of HVAC and being an Entrepreneur provides more opportunities and development than a 9-5 job does.



Around 130 DME Alumni & Guests attended the event. The DME prestigious Alumni Prof. Dr. Afzal Khan Academician in COMSATS University and Engr. Zain, Project Manager in Huawei shared their experiences and thoughts about the Alumni program. After the event the guests and the Alumni of IIUI visited the DME building and had a gathering at dinner, where all shared their experiences and their life at IIUI.

DEE Alumni Get-together

DEE Alumni Get-together

Department of Electrical Engineering (DEE) in collaboration with the office of Alumni of International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) organized the First DEE Alumni get together & dinner at new campus of the university. The event was attended by Acting President and Vice-President (HS&R) Prof. Dr. Aqdas Naveed Malik, the Vice-President (Academics) IIUI, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir Khalily, and the InCharge of IIUI Alumni Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Anwar. 



The get together comprised speeches given by the Acting President IIUI, on how the Alumni is essential to the institute and how both can benefit from each other and also benefit the current students of IIUI. Earlier, The Chairman DEE, Dr. Suheel Abdullah welcomed the distinguished DEE alumni and the guests. He briefly introduced about the progress and development of DEE since its inception, back in 2003. 




The In-Charge of IIUI Alumni hailed the DEE alumni committee and said that the effort has brought the IIUI ambassadors (alumni) back home to be proud of their institution. He said that IIUI is proud of alumni and they have proved that the university has provided the best people to the Muslim world. He reiterated his resolve that IIUI would remain in touch with alumni as this can further strengthen the pursuit of objectives of the university. 



Alumni from different areas of Pakistan attended the Get-together, who worked in different sectors and fields of their professional lives, including heads of departments, corporate managers, consultants etc. Around 130 DEE Alumni & Guests attended the event. The DEE prestigious Alumni Dr. Mohsin Riaz, Academician in COMSATS University and Engr. Zain, Project Manager in Huawei shared their experiences and thoughts about the Alumni program. 




After the event the guests and the Alumni of IIUI visited the DEE building and had a gathering at dinner, where all shared their experiences and their life at IIUI.

Alumni Photography Workshop

Alumni Photography Workshop


The office of Alumni and FSS Dept. of Media & Communications organized a Photography Workshop for the female students of IIUI. The workshop was held at the Seminar room of Fatima Block IIUI Female Campus. The event was honored by Vice-President Female Campus Prof. Dr. Farkhanda Zia, In charge Alumni Office Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Anwar, HOD Media & Communication Dr. Amrat Haq, FSS Media Alumni Focal Person Ms. Siddra Huma and Assistant Director Alumni Mr. Muhammad Ashraf.



The workshop was conducted by our Alumni Ms. Masooma Ahmad Zubairi Alumni of FSS Media& Communication 2009. She is also the CEO of MZ Productions.

The workshop started with the recitation of the holy Quran, the workshop mentor started the workshop by educating the students of what’s the difference between photos portrait, landscape and documentary. She shared her personal experiences and how she became the CEO of a company. She mentioned her struggles as a women and how it is necessary to follow your passion.


The workshop taught the student about camera angles, lenses, camera body types. Some of the jargons related to photography and also involved the students in captioning pictures that tells a story.

Masooma gathered the students and made them look at pictures and how 1 picture can be perceived differently. She taught them on how to look at things and how to focus on it. Sometimes the simplest things can give out the strongest messages and that message is what makes a picture strong.
She also announced that she is giving out 3 internships to the students present there.

After the workshop the Guest of honor Prof. Dr. Farkhanda Zia congratulated the efforts of the Alumni office and dept. of media & comm for this workshop that benefits the students. And provided souvenirs to the Alumni.


 The event was welcomed by nearly 60, students, Officials, Alumni, Guests and administrative staff.
