In an incredible collaboration, IIUI and renowned business leaders came together for a momentous Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony at IIUI's Council Hall. Led by Dr. Sonia Irum, the Alumni Office played a vital role in coordinating and facilitating the MOUs. Distinguished personalities graced the event, including alumni, faculty members, and university officials.
Mr. Kamal Mahmood Amjad Mian, a proud IIUI
alumnus and Managing Director of Fast Cables Limited, partnered with Prof. Dr.
Hathal Mahmood Alotaibi, President of IIUI, to establish the "Fast Zakat
Fund." This philanthropic initiative will support deserving students
pursuing higher education at IIUI, with Fast Cables Limited pledging a generous
contribution of 2 million Rupees annually for scholarships.
Additionally, Mr. Kamal signed another MOU titled
"Fast Excellence Awards" to further support students in Electrical
Engineering. This program aims to recognize and reward outstanding academic
performance among IIUI's Electrical Engineering students.
During the ceremony, Mr. Mansoor Shakil, Chairman
of Glamp Pakistan and a proud IIUI alumnus, shared his intentions for a
generous contribution of half a million Rupees to establish scholarships,
showcasing a shared commitment to empowering future generations through
education.
The Alumni Office, led by Dr. Sonia Irum, supported
by Deputy Incharge Dr. Uzma Noor, in connection with Ms Nuzhat Zareen of UAFA, played
a pivotal role in coordinating this remarkable collaboration.
